Vanessa Hudgens Waves it Off

Vanessa Hudgens Wavy Hairstyles

Vanessa Hudgens is seen here looking like she doesn’t have a care in the world, but you would never guess that she just split from four year long love Zac Efron. Oh well says the happy twenty something as she moves on with her life, and we love the attitude she takes with her. Though, you have to wonder how well Zac is taking this. Not that anyone would notice, Vanessa is making it very clear just how single she is, and is making sure she looks fabulous while she does so. Can you say she is hoping for a rebound beau under the tree this year? Most likely says the magic 8 ball. But if you want to look this fabulous, you can too, as this long and loose look is today’s most gorgeous trend. It’s everywhere right now.

To get this look, you need a long layered cut that you can work some volume into. Start off by scrunching some pomade or volumizing mousse into damp hair. Blow dry with a round bristle brush, or you can wind sections around your hair if you prefer. This winding effect will make your waves a little more swingy than usual. You can use a curling iron to set stronger waves once you have done this, but instead of clamping the iron onto your hair, wind the hair section around the barrel of the curling iron. This way the ends won’t curl as tight, and they will stick out just enough to give you this pretty tousled look. After you have finished curling, shake your hair out and finger comb it as you go through the day, and though you may not have her boyfriend woes, you will have her look of long luscious waves lasting all day, and into the night.

Bad Girl Michelle Trachtenberg Sleeks it Back

Bad Girl Michelle Trachtenberg

The bad girl that everybody loves to hate on Gossip Girl manages to get the glam on again. And we have to say, as much as we love to hate her, we almost can’t, because her style is just so darn pretty. Here she is going uber cas in a mustard yellow cardigan and grey scarf with a sleeked back ponytail and uber glam shades. Here Michelle is not exactly her former sexy vamp sinking her claws into the Upper East side of the city, but she is not exactly sending off the Christian Polyanna vibes any longer. What Michelle is doing with this ponytail is a great thing, as it shows that yes, even a second day hair day ponytail can look both sleek AND chic, whether you are taking it day or night.

This look is easy to accomplish, particularly since you are going to skip your shampoo and do this with second day hair. For your front section, take a fine tooth comb dipped in water, and create a razor sharp part about 2-3 inches long. Then, comb the remaining section on the back of your crown, and tease it lightly to give you a bit of height and volume at the back of your head.

Use your fine tooth comb to sleekly comb your sides to the back, gathering your back crown section together with your two sides. Secure at the nape of your neck with a clear elastic, and give the back section a spritz of extra hold hairspray. Sweep your bangs to the side in either direction of your part, however you feel most comfortable, and secure with a pin behind your ear.

Finish the look with a little spritzing of hair gloss, and you have yourself a super easy hairstyle that will look and stay great no matter WHERE you take it all day or all night. If you are still trying to figure out a way to make this look really work, add an eye popping accessory like Michelle has here with her scarf. Stunning.

That New Redhead In Tinseltown is Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried New Hairstyles

That’s right, forget the gorgeous butterscotch locks you envied the whole time you were watching “Letters From Juliet” as Amanda Seyfried has arrived on a new set and is sporting an all new look. Proving that her beauty really can carry any hair color or length, Amanda is seen on the set of her new movie she is filming with Justin Timberlake “Now” sporting a short red hot pixie bob. And we likey. Here is a look that is as bold as it is simple, and if you have been looking for a change, you may want to make one or both of the changes that Amanda has here, short and red. A little hint would be to do what Amanda has here, as this hairstyle is in wig form only, and once she takes that red bob off, she is back to her honey colored locks. If you love this look as much as we do, we recommend trying on a few wigs as well, as this will be the best way to see how this look works with your features. Once you have determined this is the look for you too, go ahead and have a little sit down with your stylist.

You can get this look first by getting the right cut, so ask your stylist for longer length in the back and at your sides, but get some volume pumped into the top with shaggy layers cut into your crown. This way you can choose to wear your hair sleek, or use the layers to pump up some volume for a night out. To style then, you can use some styling wax on towel dried hair, and blow dry your hair with a round bristle brush. This look is sleek, so you aren’t going to worry too much about volume here, as your layers will do that work for you. When your hair is dried, spritz some antihumectant spray on your locks, and then run the flat iron over your entire head, bending the ends only slightly for some face framing style. By using the flat iron, you will lock in the antihumectant so your hair stays straight and sleek all day long, and it also adds some extra shine to that gorgeous style. For some extra shine for a night out, you can spritz on some glossing serum for a shiny, sexy finish that will instantly glam up any night on the town.

Jennifer Garner Glams It Up in the Wee Hours

Jennifer Garner Hair Styles

Jennifer Garner is seen here looking more fabulous before dawn than….well, probably just about anybody. And the reason for this on this rainy early New York morning is that she is on her way to The View, a show that starts working well before many of the rest of us. We know she is one of America’s sweethearts, so we just can’t hate her for looking this great this early in the morning. And while her super glossy wavy locks are certainly enviable, as are her budget and styling team, you too can have this look. You might want to keep in mind however that if you have a pre-dawn appointment like Jennifer did here, you will want to give yourself some time. If however you are simply wanting a shiny glamorous look for day or night, this one will definitely turn heads for you. If you haven’t guessed what the deal is with this hair style, then you may want to put some contemporary back into your locks as this long and loose look is today’s most gorgeous trend. It’s everywhere right now.

To get this look, start off by scrunching some pomade or volumizing mousse into your hair. After you have finished curling, shake your hair out and finger comb it as you go through the day, and you will have long luscious waves lasting all day, and into the night. You can also brush the curls out to get sleek waves like Jennifer has here, and add some spritzes of glossing serum to give it that gorgeous shine.

Audrina Patridge Makes Up for Lost Time

Audrina Patridge Hairstyles

And though she may be a favorite on Dancing With the Stars for never missing a beat, Audrina Patridge from The Hills is just as human as the rest of us apparently and is prone to a late morning or two herself. Here she is seen rushing into the Dancing With the Stars rehearsal studios after running late, but she is certainly doing it fashionably. Arriving on set with supersized shades and squeaky clean hair, Audrina is not going to let a late morning frazzle her, and nor should you. Yes, even you can look this great after some morning rushing, and it’s easier than you think.

To get this look, you want to have a layered cut with long concave layers cut that angle toward your features rather than away from them. Use texturizing shampoo and conditioner to give your hair some bend, and blow dry your hair from roots to ends with a round and soft bristle brush. After your blowdry, you can run some styling pomade through your hair to give it some additional texture and movement. If you have a few extra minutes, you can quickly whip a curling iron to add some fluffy bend, but not too much. To do so, just use a 1 ½ “ curling iron but here you really just want to run the iron through your hair, and not focus too much on curl. Keep the curling on for just a second or two, and create a lovely, soft wave that will last all day. You will then brush these waves out for a soft almost ethereal look, and a sexy but not too fussy side part will add instant vamp appeal to your overall look of casual elegance.
