Jessica dressed up her style a little bit with a pretty updo in braids and a casual ensemble. This look is a very pretty one for day, as it dresses up your entire look no matter what you are wearing, and braids are always very flattering and complimentary on any face.

This look however is not that easy to achieve if you are going for sleek and chic, so you do want to take your time here. Part your hair down the center, and run your comb under water to assist with the sleek factor. Comb both sides of your head with the comb to sleek your sides, and this dampening effect will allow you to work with and braid your hair much easier. Comb a tiny section off the top and towards the back and begin your braiding.

As you braid, braid towards the back of your head so that the braid will lie smooth. Do the same with the other side, and depending on how long your hair is, you can either tuck the ends under, or coil them into a pretty bun at the back. Finish with some extra hold spray for your flyaways and you have yourself a pretty and chic updo that can take you from day to night without having to do a single thing!

Kim Kardashian Rocks a Night Out

Kim Kardashian is seen here outside the Bar Deluxe in West Hollywood after having a fun night out with her sister Khloe and her long time squeeze Reggie. And is it just me, or is there something about this girl that is a little mystical. She certainly does get a bad rap for her socialite ways and some of her more dramatic shenanigans, but I think for the most part she’s pretty harmless on the social scene.

And at the end of the day, no matter how big her booty may be, this is one girl whose features are stunning are they not? And they always are no matter where and when. Here she is looking stylish and immaculate for her night out, in a chic and simple pant suit and brightly patterned blouse. Her eye catching necklace complements her neckline beautifully, and make her eyes sparkle just as prettily.

To get the look that Kim has here, you want to start off with the same layered cut that she has here. Use some straightening serum on towel dried hair, and blow dry your hair with a flat paddle brush pulling your hair straight as you dry. Use a flat iron to sleek your hair out as much as you can. When you are flat ironing, you want to pin the top sections of your hair up first, and flat iron the bottom sections for maximum fullness and all over straightness. After you have flat ironed your entire head, spritz your hair with some anti-humectant. Immediately following this, you will want to flat iron your hair again, and this will lock in the humectant, and give your hair some beautiful shine. It will also seal the cuticle and ensure that your hair stays straight and glam all night long.

Victoria Beckham Slicks it Back

And as usual, Victoria Beckham is living up to her stylista reputation, in a to dye for hot pink mini dress that leaves little to the imagination. And Victoria Beckham is also proving here that one does not need to worry when one has short locks, as these can be just as versatile as long locks, and you can play with them however you like depending on your mood of the day. Here Victoria has decided to go chic and sleek in a hairstyle that matches her silhouette and elegant ensemble. Victoria’s punky spiked hair has grown out just a little and just enough to create a sleek look that you can wear by day and even into the evening.

If you have short locks, this will require very little effort. On towel dried hair, run some waxing pomade through your hair to give it some texture. Use a fine toothed comb to create a razor sharp part on your side, and comb your hair down on either side of the part. Let your hair air dry like this, and this will seal your part for the day. If your hair has a little bit of flyaway once it dries, use a flat iron to smooth the sections down, and spritz with some extra hold gel, combing with the fine toothed comb to smooth your ends over. Once your hair has dried, use some glossing serum to add an extra finish and an all day shine. Short hair is so easy to style and work with, the key to mastering this look is to exude the Posh confidence that goes with it!

And by the looks of it, Kim will be ringing in the New Year with not only her sisters in Vegas, but with a brand new look and some fringed bang factor. Yes, for some reason Kim felt it necessary to publicly announce that she and her sisters will be spending New Years together in Vegas, I guess we are supposed to care or something about Kim Kardashian’s New Year’s plans. At any rate, though she is still a thriving D-lister, Kim always manages to look picture perfect, and like an A-lister SHOULD, if you WERE actually an A-lister.

Here Kim has kept her long black locks sleek and straight and glossing to the max, and she has gone for a new look with deep set fringed bangs. Ah yes, bangs are all the rage this year, and if you are looking to freshen your look up, bangs are a great way to do that without making a huge overhaul. You can go for a deep fringed bang look for an end result that is very contemporary and chic, or you can simply trim off some length in the front and have a fresh clean look. Either way, bangs are a little known secret that will take years off in an instant.
