Hayden Panettiere isn’t on the radar too much, and this may be because some of her Tinseltown starlet friends are just bigger camera fiends, as we do know that Hayden likes her privacy. So when we see her taking her look to such a dramatic shade in a blink of an eye, sometimes it takes us longer to clue in. For this girl, I have to say this look is nice on her, but I do prefer the blonde. The brunette seems a little too serious for her young years thus far, but it certainly does give her a striking presence, doesn’t it? But this look overall is one you definitely want, as this is a style that is everywhere right now. If you need a change, and haven’t guessed what the deal is with this hair style, then you may want to put some contemporary back into your locks as this long and loose look is today’s most gorgeous trend. It’s everywhere right now.

To get this look, start off by scrunching some pomade or volumizing mousse into your hair. Blow dry with a round bristle brush, or you can wind sections around your hair if you prefer. This winding effect will make your waves a little more swingy than usual. You can use a curling iron to set stronger waves once you have done this, but instead of clamping the iron onto your hair, wind the hair section around the barrel of the curling iron. This way the ends won’t curl as tight, and they will stick out just enough to give you this pretty tousled look. After you have finished curling, shake your hair out and finger comb it as you go through the day, and you will have long luscious waves lasting all day, and into the night.

She’s Not a Doctor, She Just Plays One on TV.

Dr. House’s hot shot number 13 , played by Olivia Wilde is seen here hanging out on the set of the hit tv show and showing that even in between takes she is gorgeous as ever. Yep, this is one lady who’s got features galore, and with her perfect bone structure, naturally bone straight hair, it is easy to see why we all just love to hate her for being so beautiful. And if she’s even a tenth as smart as her character on “House” well then, she simply must be the whole package. Here she is seen on the set of the show showing us that the simplest, sleekest style can also often be the sexiest. That’s right, long straight locks are the hairstyle version of the boyfriend jean, and have been a hit since the ‘70’s, and it doesn’t look like this trend is leaving any time soon.

To get the look that Olivia has here, you want to start off with the same layered cut that she has here. Use some straightening serum on towel dried hair, and blow dry your hair with a flat paddle brush pulling your hair straight as you dry. Use a flat iron to sleek your hair out as much as you can. When you are flat ironing, you want to pin the top sections of your hair up first, and flat iron the bottom sections for maximum fullness and all over straightness. After you have flat ironed your entire head, spritz your hair with some anti-humectant. Immediately following this, you will want to flat iron your hair again, and this will lock in the humectant, and give your hair some beautiful shine. Michelle Williams Dazzles the Crowd on Premiere Night

Ever since the death of the late and amazing Heath Ledger, we have not seen much of this girl, mom to his precious daughter Michelle Williams. And for about a year or so after his death, we saw this girl walking the streets of New York with nothing but grief and pain in her eyes. But Michelle is proving here that despite his death, life does go on, and she’s been given more than enough reason to smile again, and here we see her at the premiere of “Shutter Island” at the Ziegfield Theater in New York City looking like her old self. Dressed in a killer dress and showing off her mega watt smile, Michelle Williams has the light back in her eyes again, and it’s certainly been a long time coming. But you don’t need to have natural Manhattan style looks to look as great as she does, because this look is much more effortless than you may think. Yes, not only does this look effortless, but this look IS effortless to achieve with a quick and simple ponytail twist.

You want to start off with clean shiny hair like Michelle has here, and use some texturizing shampoo and conditioner that will hold the look. Then, Michelle has simply pulled back her hair in a sexy ponytail, and not fussed too much about flyaways or concise neatness as this is a bun that is tres chic by being tres minimal. Take your ponytail and twist it into a low bun at the back of your neck, and secure with a few bobby pins. You don’t want to fuss too much with product either here, as this clean and mussy look is the one you are going for. Michelle proves here that if you want to go super cas as well, you can do so, and do so however you like and have a sexy, chic, and elegant look you can take all day or all night. Jennifer Garner to Make Waves This Valentine’s Day

Here is another starlet that slipped off the radar a little bit, but now that we know it’s because she’s been hard at work being a mom, wife, and actress extraordinaire, we can let it go a little bit, no? Here is Jennifer Garner making an appearance on the Late Night with David Letterman and doing the ever so gracious starlet thang by stopping to sign some autographs first. But we wouldn’t expect anything less than sweetness when it comes to this girl, which is one of the things that makes it so hard to hate such a pretty, talented super star. So if we can’t be her BFF, we can at least do the flattery by imitation thing by taking a few cues from her always fabulous hair. Here Jennifer is foregoing the mommy pony tail and letting her hair down for a change and showing off some long luxurious waves. Wanna look just like Jen does here?

To get this look, you want to start with a layered cut with long concave layers that angle toward your features rather than away from them. Use texturizing shampoo and conditioner to give your hair some bend, and blow dry your hair from roots to ends with a round and soft bristle brush. Here is our favourite bad girl of Hollywood enjoying a night on the town in Los Angeles, California looking gorgeous as always, but it’s so easy for her because no matter what style her hair is sporting, she always looks great because she’s just naturally gorgeous. Here she is also showing off her inner fashionista in an elegant grey wool jacket while making her way through the paparazzi craziness outside Madeo restaurant. Yes, good hair and good style are two good things in her life, even if the rest of it is in chaos, which just goes to show, if you look great, does the rest really matter? For Lilo, no, and I have to say that once again, regardless of her new color, I love the new look. It also looks like Lindsay, despite her warm temps in L.A. has followed this season’s hair trend by taking her shade to an extreme color with dramatically darker locks. Lilo’s normally who knows what colored locks have gone from previously blonde to uber black. Here she has also straightened her normally luscious waves into a sleek look that is both chic and glamorous.

To get this look, use texturizing shampoo and conditioner in the shower, particularly if straightening your hair can be a bit of a challenge in warmer and more humid temperatures. Use straightening serum on towel dried hair, and blow dry your hair with a flat bristle brush. You don’t want lift at the crown or roots here, as sleek and bone straight is your ultimate goal. After your hair is dried, run a flat iron over your hair to smooth away any bend, and amp up the sleek factor. After your first run with the flat iron, spritz on some glossing serum to add some extra shine, and then run the flat iron through it again to lock in your super shine. Create a sleek side part, and you’ve got yourself a straight look that will last through the night no matter how hard you are rocking the night away.

Mischa Barton’s NOT a Prostitute, She’ll Just Play One on TV

Mischa Barton is one of those fashionistas that has kind of slipped under the radar since her bout in a rehab facility earlier last year. We just haven’t seen or heard too much from her, and many of us have just assumed that she fell off the wagon again, as whenever she did make it back to the spotlight, she never really met up to earlier years fashionista standards. So what gives with Mischa and what is she up to these days, and why does she look like she is selling wares on the street corner? No worries, she has not sunk to new lows in terms of raking in cash for her habits we don’t know about, she is simply dressed in character here as a prostitute for an upcoming guest stint she has on the set of Law and Order. She is playing a street worker who turns to Detective Benson for help in one of those prostitute type life or death decision things. Should be interesting.

For her look with her hair, she went with less skank and more volume, and let the outfit do the talking when it comes to the skank factor. That’s okay as long as we remember that this is all character for her. This is a look though as far as her hair is concerned that is pretty hot right now, and you can get this voluminous hair very easily, though give yourself some extra time here. To get this look, use texturizing shampoo and conditioner, and you will want to blow dry with a round bristle brush.

Blow dry your hair about 95%, and when it is still slightly damp, you can set your hair in large sized Velcro rollers to create this wonderful volume that Mischa has here, without the look of curls. Let your rollers set for about 30 minutes, and then blast some heat on them to finish the drying and lock in that volume. When your hair has cooled from this blast, take the rollers out and brush out your hair with your soft bristle brush. Finish the look with a sexy side part, another hot hair trend this year. The end result? A lovely voluptuous mane with just enough wave and volume to look sexy, but not too much that you are over the top.

Yes, Even Ashley Greene Dresses Down

Here we have Twilight star extraordinaire looking uber cas but uber fab as she has what might be for us just an ordinary day, minus the paparazzi frenzy. For this day, Ashley was just heading out to Starbucks to pick up an iced coffee and was caught looking super sweet as she did so. This is one of those looks that proves once again that you don’t need to always have fabby hair to pull off a glam look, you just need the right smile, and the right ensemble and you can get away with a ponytail super easy. At this stage in the game though, a ponytail isn’t always about just throwing your hair back, unless you want to pull a “just got out of rehab” look vis a vis Mischa Barton. You do need to actually use a brush, and taking a few extra minutes to sleek and shine isn’t going to hurt you either.

For this look though, you may need even less than a few extra minutes. You can get away with second day hair, so save some morning minutes and go without the wash. Dampen your soft bristle brush as you pull this ponytail back, and let it sit nice and high on the back of your crown like Ashley has here. If you have bangs, then you just need to bend your bangs under ever so slightly with your flat iron or curling iron or you can brush them back like Ashley has here. This is the cute part of the sexy look, the sexy comes with the outfit you pair it with. If you pull off the right look like Ashely has here and choose simple pieces that are casual, but fitted to your size and complement your figure, you can get away with the ponytail. By doing so, you can even pull this look off at the office if you want. Doing just that will ensure that if you are getting looks from the office crowd, they are the kind of looks you want. Go ahead and sleep in a little since you won’t have to worry about your hair. Even if you arrive a few minutes late looking THIS hot, you may be surprised at the positive reaction. And who doesn’t want to pull off an Ashley Greene look?

Heidi Klum Rocks the Pony

Heidi Klum is seen here once again proving just how magnificent she is, and why she is one of the world’s most famous supermodels. The ever so stylish Project Runway host and mom of FOUR bambinos was seen taking some me time after finishing the show, launching two maternity fashion collections, and well, being a mom. So a well deserved break to a massage in Beverly Hills was the only thing on her agenda this week, and even her down time as you can see is done in style. Yes, looking at her here you would never guess that she has to spend a second sweating over every little calorie, as she still manages to look fantastic. For her spa day, Heidi went for a standard look with her hair piled back and little concern for muss and fuss and even so, she still looks fabulous, as she has the designer duds that take all the focus off of her hair. This just goes to show that yes, you can get away with second day hair without drawing too much attention to yourself.

This look is not one that you need to style or maintain, it’s a simple matter of effortlessly pinning your hair back and out of your way when you are ready to engage in your well earned down time. If you are going to be running your errands or catching up on spa time while running to and fro in the elements, you also want to be sure to run some anti humectants through your hair to protect your hair from the sun’s exposure, and to minimize any drying out from outdoor elements. Post you time, you definitely want to lose the second day hair, and wash and go as you normally would for your day. But one thing Heidi IS proving here is that even supermodels can go a little casual now and again and still look fabulous. And you can too!

Renee Zellweger Cropping a Few Things Off the Holiday To Do List

This is one girl that I just love to see out and about these days, as she was once considered one of the dowdiest women in Tinseltown after her homely appearance with the Bridget Jones Diary. And now that the movie made her a household name, her style seems to be almost effortless as she banishes that dowdy look and proves to the world that Bridget was just a character. It seems that no matter where or when she is spotted these days, she is simply knocking them dead. And here she is doing just that while doing a bit of grocery shopping for her holiday festivities. She was seen coming out of the Bay Cities Italian Deli with a bag full of goods looking radiant and happy, and not just because she looks fabulous and chic, but because of the holiday season. And what she is doing here with her look is showing that short hair can really work FOR you if you want to pull off an edgy carefree look this holiday season. And though I haven’t loved too many of Renee’s looks, this is one look that I have always loved on her, and out of all of her looks I think this one suits her the most.

You can get this look first by getting the right cut, so ask your stylist for longer length in the back and at your sides, but get some volume pumped into the top with shaggy layers cut into your crown. To style then, you can use some styling wax on towel dried hair, and blow dry your hair with a round bristle brush. This look is sleek, so you aren’t going to worry too much about volume here. When your hair is dried, spritz some antihumectant spray on your locks, and then run the flat iron over your entire head, bending the ends only slightly for some face framing style.

By using the flat iron, you will lock in the antihumectant so your hair stays straight and sleek all day long, and it also adds some extra shine to that gorgeous style. The blowout as well will give you the gorgeous movement that Renee has here in her hair, and this will keep you looking happy and carefree as you move through the holiday season.

A New Girl to Gossip About?

Well well, it does appear there may be a new gossip girl in town, as Willa Holland was seen on the set of Gossip Girl poking her head out of a trailer on set in downtown Manhattan. The former OC actress was seen meeting Upper East Side style standards, and was formerly seen on this show when she played a bad influence on Little J. Is she back to stir up some more trouble? Looks like, and if she is looking this hot, it may well be that she will have no trouble doing so. This casual look with bouncy curly hair is about as in as boyfriend jeans right now, and one that you can take from day to night in a flash.This look is sexy, vampy, and will get you everything you want on any given night on the town.

The secrets here are tons of product, tons of curls, and tons of teasing. Start off with curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner, and use a lightweight curling mousse to lock in some extra curl. Run some styling pomade on your palms, and then run them through your hair from front to back. You will then set your hair in pin curls all over your head. Use a blowdryer on low with a diffuser to dry your locks to 100% dry. This may take some time, but the end result will be well worth it. When your curls are dry, spritz some extra hold hairspray on your curls before you take out the pins. The result will be a voluminous head of wavy bouncy curls. You can brush these out to smooth them out as Willa has here, or tease them whichever way you want for a hairstyle that is voluminous, sexy, and vampy for any night on the town.
