This is that time of year when the winter blahs set in right in time with the Christmas bills, so a new look is hardly possible for many of us with salon rates climbing. But that doesn’t mean you can’t give yourself an all new look so long as you know the tricks of the trade. A big look this year appearing both on and off the red carpet are funky diagonal parts, and they are the quickest and most affordable way to change your look AND take years off. You know the diagonal part, the kind that literally goes from one end of your head to the other.

The great thing about this look is that a diagonal part is going to flatter just about any face shape. It will divide your hair towards the middle of the crown giving you volume that is even on both sides. And just like any starlet on the red carpet scene, those gorgeous features of yours are going to *POP*. Have a look at what a difference before and after does for you by trying this out at home. You can get this look with just a little bit of practice.
How are you going to do it?

Step 1 — Look exactly where the part starts at the crown. Start there, this will be the highest point of your eyebrow. You drag the comb back towards the middle of your head. Throw some hairspray onto your comb to give you some more traction, and definitely do this when your hair is wet, hair is ALWAYS easier to part when wet.

Step 2 – Mist some more spray on your comb, and lay it flat on top of the part. Apply pressure for about five seconds. Do this all the way down your part. Spray your part. Bada-bing. You’re done. What was that, 5 minutes? Pfftt. Not even.
