Keira Knightley has made a stand to not allow the producers of her new movie, The Duchess, to airbrush and enhance her cleavage for publicity ads for the new film.
This refusal by Kiera Knightley has brought a very positive outlook on her by many. Many feel she is sending a message that to truly love the way you look, and you dont have to conform to society and the mainstream look of hollywood to be beautiful.
“Keira Knightly is essentially giving young women permission to stand up in their communities and their schools and their families and say, ‘Look, this is the way I look and it is OK,” said Courtney Martin, author of ‘Perfect Girls, Starving Daughters’.
We give Knightley a two thumbs up and we hope many learn from her and embrace their own natural beauty, just as she has proven to do.
I would rather see someone stand up for the sanity of young people looking to be perfect than a few more people watching her on the big screen. If anything, her making a stand has brought more attention to her, therefore getting those few more people to come watch her out of respect.
boobs are overrated. our society sucks.
The fact is that Kiera enhancing her breasts may put a few more heads in the box office, if thats what it takes, so be it. She should know that her career is more important than making a stand no one could really relate to since their not half as beautiful as her to begin with.
finally someone is taking a stand
good for her!
keira knightley is saying i am what i am and that is what i want people to see
finally someone has rightfully earned her respect:-)
