Lauren (aka Lo) Bosworth of the hit show The Hills is seen here arriving at Teddies nightclub in Los Angeles over the weekend to meet up with some friends and paint the town red. And Lauren has always sort of struck me as one of the more homely girls of The Hills. Though she isn’t exactly all that homey, she just doesn’t have that starlet beauty that some of the other cast members have, no, she’s a regular girl next door. But we have grown to love her to some extent, and it is this innocent natural beauty that makes her ordinary look almost contemporary chic, who needs to be uber glam, anyway?
Here, Lauren has taken her medium length hair with its chunky layers and given it a little bit of volume for the night. She has complemented her look with a rocking mini dress that adds an instant glam appeal to her overall look. And the fact that Lo has not overstyled her hair proves that you don’t need to be a glam goddess to look this great.
To get this look, you only need to work with some Velcro rollers. Apply a light body serum to your towel dried hair and then blow dry upside down to get some lift at the roots. Put in your Velcro rollers, paying special attention to the crown and the roots, and let them set for about 30 minutes. As you take the rollers out, use a wide barrelled curling iron to smooth out your hair and add a little more volume. After that, just finger comb and go. Easy breezy with a lot of movement and very little product are the keys to this swinging fresh look.
